- Two Head Coaches as assistants...an associate Head Coach as the HEAD Coach...all former NHL forwards and all almost my age...it might work!
- Pierre Dorian (Brian Murray) will pick sixth...
- Free Agents, I'd only go 1.5 to 2 mill but if nothing is happening early Brian should for the sake of the fans and the gate think seriously of a (UFA) Todd White, a Fiddler or someone of their ilk for one season only, it would be worth the money!
- There is only one bad contract to start the year, we all know who that is, I'd give him to Europe, pay the difference.
- Our luck, in more ways than one, this is not a big draft year!
- when you win the American League no one wants to return the next year they all think they should move up and they are right, it will make for very interesting training camp. Starting from the goalie on out!

ReplyDeleteSeems the coaching staff will be made up mostly of "winners". Some of the kids from bingo will make the team, having known what it takes to be "winners". This is something that can't be taught, it has to be experienced.
Although some would argue that the 20 or so last games last year meant nothing, I liked the team's ability to bounce back - they had a resilience I had not seen for a long time.
Which all adds up to some hope going forwards - things going in the right direction.
Draft should be interesting. We'll see if BM has any rabbits up his sleeve.

ReplyDeleteIt's a farmer's rain...Brian will do us proud...a lot of them guys are afraid of him, including BB...and they should be!
Just went over 30k (hits) and here I thought those Tranna guys weren't paying attention!
I've honestly never been quite so excited for an NHL draft. This is a big one for our beloved Senators, and I have no doubt at all that BM will do us proud!
ReplyDeleteI'm also in man-love with our new coaching staff; it's full of winners... our farm team is full of winners and kids who are hungry for a shot. Our goalies seem to be set for a few years, our D will be legendary in a couple as well... now all we need is some major firepower up front, and we're back, baby!

ReplyDeleteWe are going to end up with another 4 or 5 good but not spectacular kids...go to Cap Geek and have a look at our roster...we got 32 plus 5 (this Draft) = 37 forwards for two teams...Holy Cow! A lot of them potential good 3rd liners but all the same guy.
