OV and the Caps...

To the Defenceman's coach...ya dress 7 but you play 6, it's an implied threat not a playing strategy...

To Coach Paul...ya got no extras up front, set 4 lines and leave 'em alone...

To the Special Teams Coach...on the PK, the point men are dangerous but so are the three guys standing around your goal tender, collapse to your net, plug the seams, then block the point shot...Buffalo just lost the game because the forward could not get back down to protect the net on the PK.

  2. Nik:

So far, "Triple C" 's system (pressure forecheck, 2 guys in, center stays back) seems to have more success than the "Stash" 's (don't know quite what to call it) system. Both are playing with relatively the same line-up (Triple C without Alfie). Learning (growing) pains maybe?

Better not be too many "questionable" penalties tonite - could get ugly quickly.

A message to the "Stash" - if your veterans (on defence) don't step up - sit em'. Don't care how many zeroes on their paychecks!

P.S. Can you believe Scanlan talking about draft picks already!

  3. yes I think Clouston's system worked. His personality perhaps left a lot to be desired though.

Agreed. Triple C's system + "Stash"'s personality (communication style) = winning combo.
